Haiyang Fruits

Haiyang is located in the warm temperate zone and the temperature of the wet monsoon type of East Asia, so winter is not too cold and summer is not too hot, with the annual temperature averaging 11.5℃ and the average rainfall being 800mm. There are 197 frostless days and the average sunshine hours are 2576 a year. The nice natural conditions are good for the growth of all kinds of fruits, especially apples, pears, gingkoes, grapes, peaches, hawthorns, persimmons, chestnuts, cherries and so on. The fruit-growing area is 400,000 mu and the output is 300 million kgs. The apple-growing area hits 320,000 mu with an annual output of 125 million kgs. The pears have an output of 15 million kgs, the peaches 20 million and the others 140 million. The "Huangjia" Fuji Apple is innocuous and crispy, which has earned it the title of National Renowned Products. It has won gold medals in China Agricultural Products Exposition and is well received in Russia, United States and Southeast Asia. The "Shifeng" Chestnut from Haiyang is confirmed as "High-quality Chestnut" by the Agriculture Department of Shandong Province.

Haiyang Cherry boasts thin skin, tender meat, good color, sweetness and it is not suitable for storage, which make its price keep soaring in the market.
