| Ten-thousand-meter seabeach

 Lying
in the south of Haiyang City, 10000-meter-long bathing beach is
one of the best beaches in the country. The bottom of the beach
is sand and the grains of sand are thin and even. It can be compared
with the Beihai in Guangxi Province. It is said that in the ancient
times, a gold phoenix came here from a fairy island. Its beautiful
feather became the golden seabeach. In 1984, former general secretary
of the Central Committee of the CPC Hu Yaobang visited here and
inscribed the epigraph of 'Haiyang 10000-meter-long bathing beach'.
1600-mu shelter forest is the green protective screen of the seabeach.
The tourists can swim, enjoy sunbath, play sandy beach volleyball,
surfing, rowing boat and have a relax here. Every summer and autumn,
Haiyang 10000-meter-long bathing beach attracts lots of domestic
and foreign tourists. It has become one of the first-selected
place to avoid heat and pass the summer in a leisurely way.
