The fixed assets investment is keeping increasing. In 2002, the investment totalled 1.72 billion yuan, among which 0.91 billion was from Haiyang city and the towns, 0.54 billion from the countryside, 0.27 billion from individuals and sporadic investment. The investment for production was 1.48 billion yuan and that for non-production was 0.24 billion yuan. Among the investment for the towns and Haiyang city, 0.32 billion yuan was for basic construction, 0.15 billion for renovation. The private enterprises invested 0.23 billion yuan and the project with an investment over 10 million yuan numbered 18. The total investment hit 0.36 billion yuan.
